Objectives of IWA Communities & Chapters
- Bring together all local Web specialists to provide professional networking opportunities.
- Help promote our members' services to businesses and employers.
- Develop and maintain a chapter Web site to establish a communication medium between members, community, and businesses.
- Provide professional development programs and resources at the local level.
All members of the International Webmasters Association hold dual membership at the international and chapter levels. It is IWA's global network of official chapters that provides for the true internationalization of our Association and the Web profession. It is the individual member's commitment toward these objectives and philosophy which will bond the Association and contribute toward the advancement of our profession.
Chapters strive to maximize the use of WWW technology to conduct meetings, develop professional contacts, present online workshops and courses, and make available Webmastering and community resources.
Chapter guidelines and procedures are set forth by the International Webmasters Association.

Start an Official IWA Chapter
NOTICE: We currently have a moratorium on starting new chapters until further notice
Chapter Web sites are being recognized by many IWA members as a powerful medium to bring together Web professionals and businesses at the community level.
Qualified Web professionals are needed to develop professional chapters throughout the world. We are looking for those unique individuals who are ready, willing, and able to take on this important role. If you possess the following skills and experience, then we want to hear from you:
- A regular or certified member in good standing of the IWA
- Must have one (1) year full-time professional Web experience (contract or employed). Provide two references of professional web work.
- Possess high ethical and professional standards.
Understand and can apply basic Web site design skills using HTML editing-software.
- Self-starters with "follow-through" work habits who works well in a team environment
